Meets all customer requirements
There is an increasing demand for fire-safe living conditions, and therefore the demand for flame resistant interior fabrics is increasing apace. The production of high quality window blinds with very light colours makes very specific demands of the yarn used: |
Flame retardant and environmentally friendly |
Demand: The fabric should be fire-proof without using any poisonous substances |
Solution: A high concentration of flame retardant polyester obviates the need for a poisonous finish |
Very smooth and uniform in colour |
Demand: On window blinds with critical colours, every minimal deviation is visible and unpleasing to the eye. The yarn should therefore be very smooth and the colour should be completely uniform |
Solution: Contamination free blending and spinning using the open end system |
Retaining a textile character for use in window blinds and easy to wash |
Demand: The parquet should retain a textile character and be easy to wash |
Solution: The use of a fabric based on Polysoft® yarn instead of a coated fabric |
Dimensionally stable, holding the design and enable efficient cutting |
Demand: The yarn should provide the blinds with dimensional stability and should retain the design even after multiple washing. The fabric must also lend itself to efficient cutting. |
Solution: Through thermofixation, the melting effect in the Bi-co polyester leads to an even coverage which makes it possible to cut the fabric efficiently (limited loss due to cutting). The created dimensional stability ensures the blinds retain the design. |
